VERY nice! I like the boot stripes as well, may have to look into those to match my bonnet stripes. What brand/size wheels???

I can't tell you how much I love the Pepper White Mini's!!!!!! There is so much that you can do with this color, especially contrasting it with black and red. The red reflector even looks fabulous not to mention your black wheels.

Don't get me wrong, I love my dark silver MCS, but if I had to do it again, it would be the PW! Nice wheels!

Anyone know where I can get boot stripes like those installed??? I have a PW/B MINI with black bonnet stripes and plan to get the exact same black wheels as the OP (assuming they're the 17" Privat Netz by Konig). So a set of black boot stripes would tie into my theme quite well.

The mudflaps and rear bumper protector look surprisingly good as well.

Thos look great! Now you just need the MINI logo center caps on the wheels & it would be perfect.

Great eye on the wheels..... got them from ALTA, not my 1st choice, but was my "back up"( in case)1st choice was from OutMotoring(Team Dynamics), Boot stripes ...got from AC( great people, great service) you can do it yourself, I did........not an easy task though.....

Over a month later and I just saw your response to my questions...

We must have similar taste: PW/B MINI's and it just so happens that I'm choosing between the Team Dynamics from OutMotoring (assuming that you're referring to the 17" black Pro Race 1.2's with machined lip) and your wheels.

Very difficult decision. Just curious, you said the TD's were your first choice and the Konig's your 'back up' - so what made you pass up the TD's??? They're currently my first choice as well but a couple things are tempting me towards the Konig's. They're 200 bucks cheaper (and given my pretty extensive list of mods I'd like to do + college budget, I could certainly use it!), a pound lighter and I'm really starting to like the 'mesh' look. What size tires are you running on them?

Nice touch on the AC center caps, by the way. I got my boot stripes from them a few weeks back and am absolutely loving them. Really completes the look. Strange to me that bonnet stripes are offered from the factory but not boot. Also getting from AC a PW/B Union Jack decal for the center console, a black replacement S for the boot, blacked out side marker kit and PW replacement S for the side markers. Can't wait!

Very sharp; nice choice.
I don't envy your detailing session(s) though... ...nooks and crannies...

I have those center caps ! Yep, they're great, just peel the backing and pop them on (although I cheated and put a dab of super glue gel on there just to make sure). Santa's bringing some for the PW MC this year, too.

Anyway... just wanted to add my "looks great" to your thread. I've never been one to like black wheels but I'm coming around to them.

looks great!

i'm not a black wheel person either on darker colored cars but on lighter colors black wheels look great.

i'm with Arnbut i'm glad it's you and not me cleaning them, i had a similar designed wheel on my old honda civic that i hated trying to keep clean.

If those were not black wheels, I would not want to be the one cleaning them either. But given they're black, they are a lot more forgiving and will hide the brake dust pretty well between cleanings.

Still... when it is time to clean, I agree... better you than me.

I spend four x as much time cleaning our S-Lites than I do the 5-star wheels. If it weren't so boring to have all three MINIs with the same wheels, I'd change them all out to 5-Stars just for the ease of cleaning.

Hmmm, you all bring up a good point, didn't even consider how they'll be detail. Other than weight (which isn't really an issue on these particular wheels) that is the one downfall to 'mesh' wheels... And I'm quite OCD when it comes to brake dust. Thankfully, as was said, the black should hide a good bit of it. Nice compromise - still get the look, they're lightweight, amazing price and not quite as much of a pain to keep clean.

So I guess that's another (albeit small) leg up for the TD's, which are the only other wheels I'm considering and are my tentative top pick currently. Still far from the simplest wheel to detail, but at least somewhat easier. Here's a picture of them for comparison (credit to OutMotoring):

Also, check out this album to see them on a MINI. Haven't found anyone here on NAM with them and the album doesn't allow images to be imbedded on another site.

It's not so much the spokes that are hard to clean but the crannies by the bolts and the the shoulders of the "V's".
These are my summer wheels:

Cleaning is relatively easy with a stout sponge --- 'til you get to the crannies...

Gotcha. Yea it's the bolts that I figure will be a major pain. Especially with them being chrome.

That was My 1st pick, but...........

That was the wheel I wanted, however, Aaron(Outmotoring)was having quite abit of trouble actually getting them, Long wait... I went with my second choice(From Alta, had them in 3 days). Cleaning is easier then the stock wheels, and the brake dust doesn't show up as much(as if that was an issues, Princess gets a bath every week, if not twice).....Where in PA are you Msteadman??? We have similar cars (albeit I just added some additional stripes)........Have to get a few "New" pictures up............

Ahhh, makes sense. I've actually been hearing that relatively often about the TD's, being quite hard to track down unless one is willing to wait awhile.

I dunno though, I may not be going with black wheels now after all. I love the concept, especially with all the black on/in my MINI, but just haven't found that one pair that's really me...

The Netz come close though. DUH-OH, especially since, answering your question, I'm in Lancaster which is less than 2 hours away.

But I think I'm gonna stick with my original choice, which is the Enkei Rpm2's in hyper black. Credit for the third pic to MidniteCoop.

Still unsure about how they'll look on a light-colored MINI but they're just so gorgeous! We'll see... It's either those or the Netz. Same weight and very cool mesh design, though the Rpm2's are a good bit more expensive. If only I knew they'd look good on PW MINI that wouldn't even be an issue though. Damn me for being unique and going for what I guess must be an 'unconventional' wheel/color combination.

Thanks again for all your help and Merry Christmas!!!

I'm obviously an Enkei fan, Msteadman; those are nice wheels.
I think the "lace-look" works better on dark cars unless you go with black wheels.
