Is Heated Steering Wheel an option?

Can you get this on a MINI? I saw on another web site that you can but I can't find any mention of it on MINI USA web site or on here. I'd like to have it on next MINI if possible. My hands get cold!

? Never heard of it available as an option for any MINI, at least not USA-bound MINIs...

Seats? Yes. Mirrors? Yes. Washer jets? Yes. Windshield? Yes, but only in Europe & Canada. Steering wheel? Nope.

I've even checked RealOEM for any mention of a heated variant of the steering wheel - no dice.

MikeL... are you sure about the heated steering wheel? How do you activate it? Does it have its own button?

I think my 02 MCS has a cold weather package. It has heated seats, Heated rear window and right rear quarter window. Maybe I just don't know how to turn on the steering wheel heater. Does it have a special switch or does it come on with the seats?

Thanks

Lines in the right rear quarter window are for the radio antenna- assuming you have Nav.
I'm pretty sure there's no heated steering wheel option.

Ohh!

I was wondering about that. They actually seem to eliminate fog from the window too. Probably just a coincidence!

My hands get cold too... in the summer. Just aim the two drivers side dash vents at your hands. If you drive with your hands at 10 & 2 this will work great for you. In the summer I find myself shutting off the vents because my hands are freezing. In the winter it is the same but I shut them off because my hands are cooking.

Hmmm. I would have sworn the steering wheel heated up in the textured area above the spokes when the seat heaters are turned on. Could have been fevered imagination though.

Agreed with what was said above. Not an option. Never heard of that one.

does anyone know how "heated" things work? is it just a piece of high resistance wire running through whatever youre heating? If so, I wanna make a heated steering wheel and hook it up to the seats because that would be NICE!

Never offered. This is a MINI, not a high-buck Benz or Lexie
