R56 What a $35,050 MINI Window Sticker Looks Like
my dealer has one in the showroom at more than that. They did charge $2k for JCW brakes, $3k for Exel wheels (ebay specials
)....crap like that....$14k in additions. Woe to the owner who pays sticker on a car like that with exorbitant dealer adds. Hope you have gap insurance

The clock is wrong...
How I know, OP is Cali which is -2hr from me. Post time for pic is 10.08 PM Central or 8.08 Pacific. Clock states 10.25pm Pacific...
or..I need to find something better to do on a Fri night.

Great car. She should enjoy it.
Thanks for all of the kind comments. It is one nice car.
And thus we can see the dramatic effect of combining premium-priced options with an economy-priced car. The end result is nearly obscene levels of profitability for the manufacturer. Caveat emptor.
Well, to be fair, the amenities/features you get in a $35k MINI are not out-of-line when you compare it to other cars with a $35k MSRP and no options.
MINI just chose to go with a low MSRP and a long option list, as opposed to other cars that have a much-higher MSRP and little to nothing in the way of options.
IMHO, this is great, because it lets you configure your car the way *you* want it, all the way from stripped to fully-optiioned (not that even a base-model MINI is really "stripped" - it still has A/C, stereo, power locks/windows, ABS, ASC, etcetera etcetera).

Hey, lots of people always have to have all the sweet things when they're available.
She's got the expensive options, and an amazing-to-drive car! I'd definitely be happy to have it.
I guess it is the thought of paying that much that gets me. Yikes

You can't beat it for making it YOUR car. It's not like our other car, a Silver 05 Outback. Ever day, I see 10,000 other cras just like mine on the road locally.

I agree, Great color combination! Thanks for the pic!
Wow! I didn't think you could go that high.
I guess the really hard part for a new MINI owner is to keep the price down.
It's hard to restrain yourself with so many desirable options.
And the terrific part is that you can own a MCS from base up to 35k, whatever suits your budget.

I agree
We looked at other cars that were full boat at this price range but you cannot choose anything.
The mini let me configure everything and not end up parked next to the same damn car in a parking garage.

I agree with all of the comments... that was easy.
If it was not for the Los Angeles freeway traffic, the Auto Trans would not have been included. But all of the positive posting regarding the auto made it easier to order. And we have the Porsche for the fun of a 6-speed.
No reason to bad-mouth the auto tranny. Some people do not want to be messing around with a stick and clutch and that is just fine.
He is a good husband who orders the car as his wife wants it, not how he wants it. Plus, he can secretly enjoy the paddle shifters with the excuse that it is the wife's car. . . .
We've got both a manual tranny MCS and an auto tranny Cooper and I love them both. I just got back from taking my dear wife to the airport and had a blast fooling around with the sport mode of her little CVT on the way home.
