Ireland Eng BBK

just wondering if any is running the ireland eng bbk that uses the stock calipers both up front and out back. i am looking for a little better stopping power but mainly to get bigger brake to fill that inner wheel gap. just wanted to know what peoples thoughts on the kits were.

I have no first hand experience with them. The design concept is valid, bigger rotor = better heat dissipation. I've never had any issues with stopping power on the track, I use the stock brakes with upgraded pads and These Rotors.

Considering after 10 laps I was still locking the brakes up in heavy braking, I don't think the brakes were the issue . Brakes are part of a system, Just like engine power, if the stopping power can't get to the ground, you're not going to stop any faster. You can have 16 piston calipers with 16" rotors and still not change your braking distance (Or worse, you could throw off the balance of your braking so bad that it increases stopping distances). Brake upgrades are for heat dissipation, not decreased stopping distance (Unless your stock brakes are so horrible that even race pads fade after 2-3 stops).

If your sole motivation is to fill the wheels with bigger brakes, I see no reason why the IE kit won't work for you.
