Should i use a broker or agent to arrange transfer from port Hueneme to Long Beach? Can i drive it myself legally without insurance or california registration? i would hate for dock workers to abuse my mini. so im thinking of shipping as a non runner.

I don't think anyone can take delivery of their Mini at the distribution center.

 

Dock workers are professionals and won't abuse your MINI.

It's the merchant seamen on the ships that race the MINI's around little autocross tracks they set up on deck that you need to worry about. . . LOL

 

make sure you have all the documents for release from Port Hueneme, You should be able to just arrange Tow Truck (Flat Bed) to go pick up your Mini to Long Beach Port. I dont think it's legal for you to drive in public road w/o the registration done? also wont be too safe for ya and thats not right next door, it's a bit of driving from Port Hu to Port LGB.
did u buy from Overseas? or bring Mini back from Overseas? why are you moving it Port to Port? just curious :-)

 

im buying a custom built mini in the uk. its going to hawaii. they only deliver to port humene, ca. i have to arrange delivery to long beach, ca port so it can go to hawaii. im thinking of arranging with miniguy in ventura to help me out. i dont trust many people.. do you usually get insurance when you deliver?

And from Long beach - Hawaii are you going to go w/Closed Ocean Container? Not sure if there is a RO-RO service to Hawaii tho'...

If you went with the Broker for UK - US move U should just have them do the same thing to Hawaii?
