Okay...to start off i'm not a ricer, but I am looking for some not-to-expensive-go-fast parts for my MCS. Has anbody heard of this.
I saw it advertised in this months Motor Trend. What do you guys think of this mod? Personally I wouldn't mind the benefits of an extra 75hp for about $100, but I have heard horror stories of engine blocks cracking and fuel rails exploding from NOS.

You still need to buy the nitrous kit and assorted parts!!!! Then you are spending around 400 to 600 bucks.

As I understand it, a dry (only uses No2, no gas) system like this should only be used with a naturally aspirated engine. A forced induction engine like on the S would require a wet system (No2 +gas sprayed together) sprayed into the intake manifold directly.

Most wet kits run about $500, but can add up higher than that quickly for things like bottle warmers ($200ish), remote valve openers ($250ish) or digital control of onset percentages ($1000+).

You don't have to use a wet kit because the car is forced inductions. The wet kits are just a lot safer because you're injecting extra fuel as well and it will prevent a lean condition. There were guys with 1.8t's running dry kits and still making good power, the wet kits just made more of it.
