Tom Williams MINI

I just bought a new mini from an atlanta dealership. Word on the street is that Tom Williams has finally been approved to build their MINI dealership. It's supposed to open within the next 12-18 months. I don't know if this is old news to you all, but I was pretty excited about it!

I first heard this rumor in 2003. Hope that MINI is finally going to open up some more dealerships. I just won't hold my breath for it though.

I just called Tom Williams BMW & they have no clue. I talked to a salesperson who said she didn't think they were opening a MINI Dealership but she also said they could service MINIS there. Well we all know that's hogwash so I guess per that wasted phone call, I can neither confirm or deny the rumor

I wish I could remember that manager's name that we met during our sit-in. He might be able to provide some valid info

First-time hello!
I bought a Mini from Tom Williams Lexus earlier this week (yeah!) and they said a Mini dealership was coming soon and would be built in the location of the current employee parking lot. I didn't ask "when" exactly.

Anyone from this area have any updates on this? I plan to buy a MINI next spring and the only thing I have doubts about is that there is no local dealer. Thanks for any info!

I haven't heard anything in a long time. You might try calling Tom Williams BMW & ask if they have any news

We tried to order a Clubman through Tom Williams BMW 2 weeks ago. At first they thought they could do it, (we initially had an appointment) then they said they couldn't. We were referred to MINI of Nashville or Global in Atlanta which are part of the Tom Williams company. We wound up ordering it from Nashville, should get it late October, early November. I was told that the blueprints for the building are there, the employee parking lot would soon be cleared, a new employee parking lot would be across the street, and hopefully it should be open sometime after the first of the year. Sounds like it's finally going to happen!

un huh. I saw a for sale sign on a huge TW cleared lot just the other day, incidentally. But your positive attitude goes a long way too.

My wife and I took delivery of our new Mini last week from Global Imports... the sales mgr. said that Tom Williams will be getting a Mini dealership at the beginning of 2009.

I ask the service fellow at Land Rover Birmingham on Friday if he kwew anything about a Tom Williams MINI. He said they were doing core samples in the employee parking lot earlier in the week (the rumored site betweek LR Birmingham and Tom Williams BMW). He also said he had herd they are going to build a sales office and have do the service in the BMW service faciltiy.
