I took the rear seat backs out of the MC because they are heavy and I never use them.

I am heading over to a New Jersey Inspection Station since my inspection is expiring and I was wondering if they will fail me because the rear seat backs are gone.

Can anyone comment for sure if this is an issue with the NJ DMV?

 

I don't think that's an issue.

I sailed right through my NJ inspection, they didn't even notice the small crack in the windshield. They DID question my blank whalen shift ****, so I quickly changed it back to stock just for the inspection. The guy said he could have failed me for that if I didn't have the original one on hand...

Nope, my rear seats are intact.

If you're really worried about it, throw a big drop cloth over that whole area when you go through the insp. I seriously doubt they're going to look...
