Hawk Performace Cermaic impressions

On Sunday I swapped out the terrible OEM pads for Hawk Ceramics and I can't be more pleased. The difference in cleanliness 2 days later, which would normally have required a rewash, is almost as good as clean with very little dust. These also feel no different than stockers. I can't figure out why BMW and other makers do not equip their cars from the factory with cleaner pads. It is not good business to have a bunch of dirty ugly wheels rolling around!

Heck no. They're silent. I have about 19,000 miles on mine now.

Still love them. Clean, Clean, Clean - the dust is lighter in color, and lighter in quantity, and lighter in "weight" - and doesn't stick to the wheels like the stock pad's dust does (especially on waxed and slicked wheels). Easily washes or QDs right off. And no fade - I had another killer 3 hour twisty run on Sunday with zero fade... they rock.

No squeaking at all here either. Again, the only change vs. the stock pads is the extreme less amount of dust. Great description by Blimey.

Ken, what is happening with your car?

I just replaced mine with Akebonos, and love them, too! Very clean, and good brake feel!
