Garmin GPS Integration

Hello,

I'm very confused after searching these forums for an answer. I have a Garmin C580 GPS which has an audio out that I want to hookup with 2006 Mini's speakers.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Do I order an AUX cable? Where does it hookup? What is the best AUX cable for awesome sound quality?

Thank you.

There is an aux input cable you get from your dealer. It is pretty easy to install but takes some time to get into the back of the radio. You can then run the aux cable any number of places depending on your application.

You want awesome sound quality from your GPS?

In any case, as Yucca said, there is a Aux Input cable from MINI that works just fine. You can find it here as well as at any dealer. This thread shows parts in detail, as well as DIY option.
Enjoy, and let us know if you have any questions.

You don't need to pull the radio to install the Aux. input as the directions say, just pull open the panel off under the steering wheel and reach to the back of the radio to plug it in.

Took me less than 10 minutes to install the whole thing.

As Yucca says you can install the mini plug jack just about anywhere, as there is lots of cable.

The best solution is from newministuff. Here is a install and review of the adapter https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=114700

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I just bought the plug from NewMINIStuff.com.
