Kosei KS T1 Wheels

Hey everyone, I'm still in the market for wheels and I think I found the lightest cheapest wheels at this point. Kosei KS T1s weight 14.1 or 15lbs each depending on who you talk to. The OZ ultraleggeras are awesome but I would rather spend my money on good tires than pricey wheels (is that a good strategy?) The huge advantage with these wheels is that theyre a prefect fit so I dont need to mess around with hubcentric rings which I heard can be a handful. anyways I have a couple of questions

1. Does anyone have pics or reviews? ( I heard that these have trouble taking potholes)

2. Does anyone know something that can compete with this wheel at around this weight and price range? I know 5Zigens make a 5 spoke rim thats around 15lbs. I like the looks of Racing dynamics Pro race 1 and 1.5 but I am not surre how much they weight/cost.

3. What are the advantages of having two valve stems? Or does anyone know why that is done?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone

I was about that too. As it was explained to me, that way you can put air in (or out) one valve while checking the pressure with the other - saves time in racing?

It's actually so you can switch from oxygen to nitrogen

all wheels have trouble taking potholes

Team Dynamics are 15 lbs at 17" and $178 a piece at webb motorsports. shop around tho... i got mine for $500 used.

3. What are the advantages of having two valve stems? Or does anyone know why that is done?

fill the tire with nitrogen and release the other valve so that all oxygen is pushed out by the nitrogen. this way there is 100% nitrogen vs. mixture of nitrogen/o2.

is there an advantage to having nitrogen filled tires? more so for racers than daily drivers.

Nitrogen offers stability. Oxygen combines with ever present hydrogen, allowing moisture in the air chamber. Deny the O - loose the moisture - more stable tire pressure across the temperature spectrum.

Your spring Vs fall tire pressures should remain more even.
No wet, no increase in pressure with heat!

I had a set of Kosei's awhile back and they worked out well. Nice and light and a good value for the price.
