I have a 06 Cooper and the wheel studs are 14mm. I know that the older coopers(S) were 12mm. Can anyone confirm this? As well, in what model year did the sizing change? Thanks in advance.

 

The late (June, I think?) 06s have the larger studs.

I can verify that wheels from earlier cars will work fine, as my S right now has S lites from an 05 on it.

 

The change in wheel bolt size took place on 07/12/2006 according to RealOEM.

So the reason I ask though is because I have a set of wheels that won't fit on my late 06 because the bolt holes are 12mm and my car will only accept the 14mm studs. So for selling purposes, I can offer these wheels to anyone with an 02-05 cooper or S?

 

Are they MINI or aftermarket wheels? My understanding is that all MINI wheels will fit.

Otherwise, yes, they should fit 02-05s, but you'd want to know if they were hubcentric to the MINI or not.
