Yes we are having a Meet N Eat in the Asheville Chapter. I know it has been long in the making, but we finally have someone to get the ball rolling again. Everyone who has a MINI whether a member or not invited to join us. Any of you guys in other chapters come on out and welcome a possible new VP.

I get out of work to late to make it up in time, otherwise I'd be there! :impatient

 

I hope a lot of you viewers to this post are going to try to make it on the 6th! I've been seeing a lot of MINIs here in Asheville, I'd love to have the chance to meet you all so this chapter will pick back up. I love my MINI and just want to be out in it all the time, I hope you guys feel the same because I want to do a lot! I've got some ideas we can discuss then. See you guys there!

Hey Ben, I can't make this one, and there are a few of us MINIACS besides the Prez ;-) who are willing to drive all over for meets. When you have something during the day on a weekend, I'll join you sometime...

Haha, That's great! We'll have all the VPs there but no one else! It'll still be cool to meet you guys, and hopefully we'll get the message out there. There are a few people here at UNCA that I may be able to get into this group. Other than that, I was going to advertise here in the paper or something about the group because I see MINIs almost everyday now.

A notice in the Citizen-Times, Mountain Xpress, etc. wouldn't be a bad idea at all! I've seen notices of meetings of the Datsun/Nissan Z club in the paper here.

You mean Tuesday right? I hope you don't show up on Wednesday... You'll be eating alone... :-) Advertising in the Asheville Citizen Times would cost $200+, Mountain Express would be $70+. I just can't afford that... I'll put up flyers... :-)

By a notice, I'm not talking about a paid advert. I'm thinking about the club blurbs that the paper will publish for free. I've seen the Z Club notices in the Weekend section of the Greenville News.

I hate that we live in Columbia, its almost a 3 hour drive.. David won't be able to get out of work in time, We wish we could be there. Welcome to the bunch Ben.. I'm sure we will meet up! motor on!

 

Thanx guys for coming up to the Asheville Meet 'n' Eat tonight. We had a few people show up and even got someone else info to join the club, so a good night. Not to mention the good food! Jersey Mike's is always a good choice. I was nice to meet you guys and you'll all be hearing from me on a regular basis from now on!

 

Well our 1st Asheville meet n eat we had 4 Mini's show and we even had to eat elsewhere because it was cold. I think Ben will do us a good job in the Ashevelle area. Had a nice GP show up and Smoky came with his hot rod. Thanks again to all who took the effort to get things rolling again. Luke

I pulled into the Sonic parking lot at 7:02 and saw not one other MINI! I parked and waited until 7:40 before I headed home. Fortunately, I brought something to read; I was able to get finish a chapter in The Universe in a Single Atom and get deep into another before I left.

Haha! Sorry, we all met at 6 and by 6:45 we were all getting cold so we went over to Jersey Mike's to get out of the cold. We tried to stay close so you may see us, but I guess you didn't. Sorry about that, I know you drove a ways, do you have a cell phone if this happens again?

 

My cell phone is an old one that, for some reason, doesn't work right now. It's not the battery. Calls just don't go through.

I need to get a new one even though I hardly ever use it.

You know, I thought about walking down to the EuroMarket. Now I could kick myself that I didn't!

Carol, I apoligize because you all ways show when you say you will. We stood outside and talked for 30-45 minutes and decided to go get warm. Wished you'd drove to the Euro place because you would have seen us. Very sorry we missed you!!!!
