They look great, but how much do they cost?

 

The R56 JCW seats are ~$1300 each - Recaro Sportster CS

 

R53 JCW seats are ~$1900 each - Sparco Demon

 

I want them

How difficult would it be to remove the heated seat pads from my current seats and have them put into these? I like heated seats in the winter

 

Seat heater probably wouldn't be too difficult for someone who has some experience with car upholstery. What I'd be worried about is the airbags. Although, if you don't mind not having them, there may be an aftermarket demand for them.

Correct, the JCW Seats do not have the side airbags found in the OEM seats. That is why the seats are not available from Mini in the US market.

Depending on the year of your Mini you might also have an airbag sensor in the passenger seat. There are multiple threads on seat replacement. Dr Phil G has a thread where he showed how he installed the seat heaters and I think the pressure sensor too.
