The kit didn't come today :-( Hopefully Monday. I ordered the Apexcone H11, 5000K,35watt kit. The Apexcone are used a lot on the Bimmerforums.com, they have great things to say about them.
Do you have HID's in your headlights already?

We have been an authorized Apexcone dealer for some time, the kits are very high quality and have a lifetime warranty:

Apexcone - 35W Performance HID Lighting Kit
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1210

Apexcone - 55W Racing HID Lighting Kit
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1209

Kits are always in stock, feel free to respond with any questions you might have.

I do not recommend 8000K, this will lower your light output overall - especially on wet roads. 5000K allow peak light output and best visibility.

Simply a higher powered ballast system. 6000K would be a better choice over 8000K for light output.

Tom:
How much brighter are the 55 watt's? These are going to be run on a street car, so I don't want to blind everyone on the road.
Are these small enough to be used in the fog housings? I liked the other ones Mario posted because of the size... They looked very small.

As long as the headlights are aimed properly - you will not blind oncoming drivers. We do not recommend the 55W HIDs in the fogs since they generate a bit more heat in such an enclosed space.

The 35W kit will be perfectly fine for the fogs.

Are you guys able to price match the vendor Mario posted? I'd rather order from EAS (Having purchased items from you before) but i'm not really interested in spending $100 more . Will the HID's you sell fit the fogs? The ballasts look big, the DDM kit looks like it's much smaller...

We're selling very close to the same price on the 35W/55W kits - the lifetime warranty is included with the kits we sell, along with full support with pre/post sale questions.

We're not out to be the cheapest, but we'll be there if you need help.

Mario Cart - Cool, Post up some nite pics when you are done and please include any install gotchs. Plug and play always turns into plug and PRAY.

I am very interested, but will buy from EAS. (I have purchased form them before and loved the service)
*Side note* I also had 6K fogs on my 03 Maxima SE (which I traded for my MCS) and they made a world of difference with my 6k HID headlights plus all my lights matched in color. I know I want looks and fuctionality, but I am **** like that and if you spend the money it looks perfect the first time.

I love my Mini w/HID headlights but need just a little more light and I am not into the BIG rally looking fog lights. If I turned all them on in PA I would have a line of cops behind me with tickets in hand. lol

I will take some pix of the install and final results. I looked at the kit and everything looks plug and play, but there are two wires on each light that need to be cut. Looks very easy. The only hard part is where to put the ballast. It shouldn't be hard with the bumper off.
Mario

Would the 55w race work in the high beams or driving lights? -jonathan

I remember throwing a set of 50 or 55w headlights in my buddy's Porsche 924S back in the late 80s. We thought we'd be cool and install the German lights...of course.

I swear *every* person that came at us at night flicked their lights cause they thought we had our high beams on. When we did we could melt road signs at 1/4 mile! (ok, so maybe that's a slight exaggeration - but them suckers were bright!)

I'd love to see even a simple comparison between the 35 and 55w kit. My OCD always kicked in when we had our 02MCS - HID headlights and "regular" fogs.

Ok, I did the install and it was pretty easy. I only had to cut and solder two wires per side. I removed the fender linings, and bumper. I also added a metal skid plate because the car is so low now with the coilovers. I put Dyna Mat and a front tow hook.
