Scheduled an appointment with mini of sterling (MOS); 2006 with 10,200 miles on it and just 2 days shy of one-year ownership. I was told since the 'miles to service' readout is 2,300 miles away, they would change the oil/filter and wipers, but that I had to bring it back in 2,300 miles to change the cabin/micro filter AND ONLY THEN would they reset the 'miles to service' readout.

What???!!! So, you'd actually have me make an additional trip after putting 2,300 extra miles on the car AFTER the oil change BUT BEFORE resetting the readout (basically adding 2,300 extra miles to the next oil service >>> 2,300 + 15,000 = at least 17,300 miles before the next oil service).

And this is MOS striving to provide nothing but "excellent service". Good service would be them saying, you goofed by bringing it in a little early, but we'll take care of it and next time, just bring it back only when the readout says to do so. C'mon!!! This is ridiculous. *&^%$#@!!!! I am miffed.

On top of that, no loaner was ready even after having an appointment scheduled and a confirmation of that appointment. Nice.

Did you ask them point blank about this adding the 2300 miles to your next service? I'd be curious what the response was to that "call".
