new additions to Fontana

Just came back from Fontana with some new pictures that I thought you all might like. This is directly opposite the general store. Its a nice size pool with a beach walk-in entry and lazy river ride section!! The large bulding adjacent to the pool for changing rooms, bathrooms and a restaurant. The pool will be done way before the MOTD-08 also!! The large slab is just above the pool area will someday house a game room (at least I think that is what Joey said)(Joey said he thinks it will be heated too!!)

I think it's where that old building was at the other end of the General Store parking lot. When I was there this summer, they had torn it down.

That's good! I'll have to make a daily trip to the lodge, then. I was staying out in a cabin in 2006 and checked at the activity center, but didn't think to try the lodge.

Wow! That looks great but will the temperature and weather cooperate enough to enjoy a dip in the pool that early in May? My daughter and her friend went in the outdoor pool last year and they froze.

They said it's supposed to be heated so temp shouldn't be a problem. Rain's another matter entirely.

The Dragon and AMVIV are completely different experiences. MOTD is in the middle of nowhere, but the nature experience is stunning. It can be very social/gregarious or more personal, depending on your personality and want. To me, MOTD is more focused on the driving.

AMVIV has some cool drives from what I've seen, but it is more focused on the cars and the Vegas scene (I haven't been to AMVIV, but I've read and heard a lot). It's in the middle of everywhere (Vegas - Paris - NYC- Venice).

I think that it's a matter of personal preference. I've been to Vegas and I left exhausted. It was a lot of fun, but 3 days of party took it out of me. I leave Fontana feeling refreshed. Both vacations are cool... it just depends on what you need/want from a vacation.

Saying it like that it sounds like the Dragon is more for me. I don't do alot of busy things going on. Especially things like Vegas...

Camaraderie

"Camaraderie" I think is the key word that comes to mind when I think of what the Dragon means to me.It is a great place to meet and be met by new and old faces from all over the US and Cananada.

I got it in my Dogwood last year, but it worked best on the porch.
