Anything up in/around Bridgewater NJ this weekend?
Howdy all! I'm up from the DC Metro Mini's club, and will be in Bridgewater this weekend to visit some family, possibly as early as Friday afternoon. Anything going on in the area this weekend?
Howdy! nothing in jersey per se. there's the pagoda run in PA on the 20th. and the Litchfield Leaves run in CT on the 21st. NJBMWCCA is holding their Street Survival in Homdel on the 20th.
Otherwise, go west on 78 and take county roads 517 and 513 for the curves and views.

Other favorite runs in the area... Take 287N about 1/2 hr to the state Line, then take 7-Lakes Drive in Harriman State Park.
The FUN roads are Rt106 (Lake Kanawauke Rd), Arden Valley Rd, and Tiorati Brook Rd.
For the return Ride, Rt 106 out of the park (W) onto 17A, and take the left onto Long Meadow Rd... Nice sweepers and a 50mph limit.
If your looking for something a little closer to 'home' jump on 287 for an exit or two and get up to Basking Ridge (or take 202)
Endless fun can be had at 25mph on the TIGHT, TWISTING, UNDULATING roads that are sparesly populated (except by suicidal squirels and chipmonks)
The majority of fun can be had between BaskingRidge, Morris Township and Mendham... Key roads are Tempe Wick, Hardscrable, Horseshoe Bend... A fun loop is Childs to Old Farm to Old Army, both off Hardscrable.
Decent 'connector' roads that have some nice views are Rt 525 (Mendham, Anderson, Bernardsville, Hilltop)
The area (to look on line at a map) is bounded by Rt525, Rt24/510, Tempe Wick, Rt 202/Mt. Kemble.
BE FOREWARNED! If you head into Harding (and there are some great roads there too) *YOU MUST DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT!* The officers there are vicious, and get a majority of their tax revenue from motorists.
I'd love to hang, but unfortuately, I will be heading to Columbus OH for the weekend.

Hey, I would be around, since Bwater is my area, but I'll be in Far Hills on Saturday. Somerset Co. has lots of historic sites and great scenic backroads in the towns mentioned above: Mendham, Bernardsville, Harding and into Hunterdon Co.
I have to get out to a meet one of these days. Everytime I plan on it, something comes up

You should do anything in your power to make a meet, they're fun! Our crew down DC way has stuff going on at least once a week, during the spring through fall time period anyway. Always fun, usually informal, and a great way to see some sharp looking Mini's
I'm already in town now, but with this rainy weather...makes the roads a little rough and nasty! Are you part of the Indi Blue Owners club as well? I can honestly say I haven't met too many other Mini's with Indi Blue, what I clearly think of as the best color
