GREAT deal on tires!

Someone just posted about this on my local mini board.

https://www.discounttiredirect.com has a deal where you can get $100 off any set of 4 new tires or wheels, or $200 off a set of both. And with free shipping, I can get a set of snows for like $132!

Well, I just dropped $560 on a set of Goodyear F1-GSD3s and $530 on a set of Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds (couldn't get the M3s in the right size anymore )for the wife at TireRack.

Free shipping, plus $100 off...

Note to self, next time shop around (which I usually do)

Thanks for the heads up!

I owe you my first born. Just got Yoko S drives in 205/50/16 for my MCS at $332 to the door. You can call and they will do the deal on the phone. Frank at ext 1818 knew his stuff. Was going to wait till spring but this was a great deal.

I want a set of 15 or 16 inch steelies with some good winter tires. I can't find any steel wheels or packages with steel wheels on the site. Am i missing something or do they not sell them? Does tire rack do a steel wheel package?

Any reccomendations for a good winter tire for the Detroit area?

I used to order from Tire Rack exclusively because they supported this site. But when Discount Tire started doing free shipping and Tire Rack would not match, I made the switch.

However, I just ordered 2 tires from TR because Discount does not stock what I need. Hopefully Tire Rack will realize they are losing customers and will adapt to the market. I much prefer TR, but my wallet likes DT and my car can't tell the difference between the 2.

With China being the fastest developing industrialized country on the planet, it will not be long before everything is built there.

That said, thanks for the heads up about the site. Good savings! WOOT!

I ditched my runflats and got a tire repair kit and a pump. Couldn't stand the ride anymore. You should be able to get a set of winter tires and steel rims for less than $500 at tirerack, discounttire.com, edgeracing.com, etc.

Am I insane, or did discount direct bump their prices today?
I was looking at a set of 16" Kuhmo Ecsta SPT (205/50-16) that were up yesterday for $95/tire. Today they are $114.
So much for that $100 discount.

good advise Aeromax, i think i'll consider you advice, since it cheaper, and it make sense. all i have to do now is search for a repair kit. have you guys tried the "Slime smart Spair" tire sealant kit, is this tire kit worth it?

The Hankook Icebears in 195/60/15 are still $63 today as they were yesterday when I looked at them... Perhaps they did change a few prices on some tires, or you are looking at a Z instead of V in the same size...

I've been shopping for a nice set of all-season performance tires for the MCSC in size 205/45/17. I was planning on spending around $440.

Just checked out this site and got 4 Falken Ziex ZE-912 tires for a total of $260. That's actually BETTER than buy 3, get one free. They were $90 each but I got a $100 discount for internet purchasing.

COOL !!

Thanks for the heads-up, aeromax !!
