Wheel Well change "late?" 07's

Again, at the dealer - ask "whats new" pointed out the wheel wells - reach up under the fender (wheel well) and feel the cloth type material - kinda like the material inside your trunk area?????????? This was a surprise to me - never have seen this - first question - how is this going to hold up over time and all the weather in that wheel well????????? Opinons?????????

Early build '07.

Lots of Spring and Fall rain in Washington State.

No issues to date. They don't seem to get water logged. As they dry, heavy debris seems to just fall off, too.

Same material as Mercedes and BMW have used on several other cars. Probably not going to see to many issues here with the MINI.

Our 07 has about 6,000 miles and when clean looks as good as new. I thought the same thing when I saw it but it seems like it is a quality material. Probably cuts down on road noise too especially in the rain.
