MINI trick of the day
OK, if you know this just click out of here - Anyway, just came from the Dealer, My MA showed my how if you have been driving your Mini (comfort acess or not) stop and turn off the engine - pull the key (fob) out {And BEFORE you open a door} If needed - you can just push "Start" again Without the keyfob back in place and the engine will start - the Mini stays 'active' for about 15/20 seconds - after that, you will need to re-insert the key/fob again to start the car....

Having the comfort access system I can not speak of the other system. But with Skeeter I have no need to ever insert the keyfob in the slot at any time, pushing the start button works at anytime.
this trick works on either sys = Blair showed it to me today,,,, started the car with doors closed - stopped the engine - pulled the key out - pushed the button again - engine started - tried several times... works with out key for about 15-20 seconds.. So, call it "Poor Mans - comfort access" = lol
