Hey folks,

Seems I caused a bit of a stir on another forum by claiming I was going to take delivery next week of a week 36 2008 MCc. Most posters seemed under the impression that the '08's would not be built until Feb (to be consistant with Clubman release?). Got me thinking I might be the 1'st.

So... Anyone out there taken delivery of an '08 MCc yet?. Fish is currently somewhere between the SC docks and the VPC.

 

Hello, My 2008 convert ported in NY Friday - should be on the way to my dealership by now....then it will have the "extra's" installed and I'll go pick him up.

 

Well, it's a race then & I'll have you know I placed 2nd in class (Auto-x, DStock) in my WRX this season

 

I have plenty of add-on's that should delay me a while yet. My dealer said no less than 1 week if not 2 weeks....I hope its not 2 !

My week 36 08MCc Sidewalk, sparkling silver, is at the VDC in Oxnard. Expect it at the dealer in Tacoma sometime next week!

 

what are the differences in the previous ragtops and the '08? Do the interiors now look like the non-ragtops?

 

No changes between 2007's and 2008's. The interior will still be the "old", better looking interior.

oh man....I am getting sick of WAITING !! When I test drove the car I wasn't able to get into a JCW (none on the lot).....the car I drove was a lot of fun, but not the JCW that I ordered. I was able to sit in and enjoy the Sidewalk - but somehow I think it will be even better when I sit in my own !

 

The JCW will be awesome.

Seems like I'm like your underacheiving younger brother, Conekiller.

I'm moving from a '05 WRX, into a '08 MCc.
It was a tough choice then between the WRX and the STi but I needed the space of the wagon.
Gotta admit tho, My Rex hauled. This summer I was able to load 25 bags of mulch into it on a Saturday and win my D-Stock event on Sunday. It's amazing what a set of Hoosiers and a little rear toe-out can do.

It was even tougher this time. I got to drive both the Super & Turbo '07 S models & I really liked the turbo much better. But, you know college for my 10 yr old daughter is coming, tho she's already eyeing Fish (who will be delivered next week) as her 16th B-day present! There's only so much you can put into the Cooper while the Cooper S can easily be a deep hole.
So we'll live with fun in the sun and not be quite as competetive in H-stock as the coupes. But I think we'll have a bit more fun doing it...

 

It's official, Fish is in and will be at the dealer Monday!!!
I'll be picking it up Monday evening. WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!
