TUNER LUG ISSUE,,Palo Uber Mini.com

We wanted to openly talk about the Uber Tuner Lugs, and clear the air.
Our Uber Tuner lugs are manufactured for us in europe, under contract and grade specifications. We manufacture our tuner lugs at a grade 10.9 and advertise grade 10.3, which is the required grade for formula one track standards.

As far as we are aware, no other manufacturer meets this standard of "THROUGH HARDENED" tuner lugs. Our information shows the majority of the other manufacturers produce tuners that are only "surface hardened" and from material that does not even come close to our steel. Some even produce from aluminum. In our opinion, not is this only unsafe, but should be outlawed. THEY do it to increase their margin, not for your safety, which is the most fundamental element for us at Palo Uber.

The issue of rust, in no way is there an issue of quality of the engineered lug.
We are still, as far as we know, the only manufacturer in the world for the new 14mx1.25m tuner lug. We sell to several wheel houses our Uber Tuners for their tuner needs.

We have found that the majority of the NAM customers who have had a problem used air-guns for application or extremely caustic wheel cleaners, such as westleys or heavy soil product cleaners which resulted in surface rust on the inside opening of the tuner where we canot chrome and difficult to coat black. Thus the cleaner stripped away the protective coating, and the surface rust appeared....

Needless to say, we gladly replaced anyone's Uber Tuners that encountered this problem, no problem....................
What we don't understand are the people who claim they weren't replaced.

We have significantly increased the coating and salt spray time, which should remedy this unfortunate situation, BUT, this could not occur overnight and has taken time in making this small but needed change. The new finish Uber Tuners are on the water and due in at port in October. The packaging has changed and will arrive in clam packs, denoting the change in product. We are still at grade 10.9.

If anyone has been left unattended, it is by accident, and we appologize.
Not everyone had this problem of surface rust, and that is what we still dont understand. But, if you are needing replacement simply call our office in California, LEAVE A MESSAGE, and we will call back to arrange the replacement.....NO PROBLEM. Unlike "other" manufacturers, we do make our own carbon fiber components, all of which are air-craft grade, and all of which are made in our molds by our technicians. WE do not buy premade components from Taiwan, and sell them with our label., as do others.....
Our coil-overs are manufactured for us by contract, our Light Bar is produced for us under contract by a leading steel fabricator who employs laser cutting and robotic welding, our powder coater finishes each piece. Our rims are produced by contract, our wiring harnesses are produced by the same specialist that produces for Carol Shelby etc. etc. All are by contract and by our engineered drawings. UNLIKE others, we dont buy and repackage.

We have been in business since 2002, and have always strived to produce the worlds finest components, which we believe is clearly illustrated by our carbon fiber scoop, our carbon fiber adjustable spoiler and our NEW carbon Fiber rear wing extension.
