Where were all the MINIacs?????
Yours truly won 1st prize for the MINI class with my poor little damaged MINI. The catagory was people's choice...guess it was a good thing they didn't have much to choose from. I was THE ONLY NEW MINI in the show!

I have seen judged events have the same results...
The whole show wasn't people's choice...the British CC guys were judged. The flyer said all the "other" classes were peoples choice because that is what the individual clubs decided was best. The only people voting in people's choice were the show participants so I would like to think they voted with a little more insight than the average joe, although I could be wrong.
Even with the damage, I did put about 6 hours into cleaning her up. I didn't want to spend too much time on it because the insurance company STILL hasn't looked at the damage yet. The damage always looks worse when dirty. I am hoping for a bonnet respray to go along with a new bumper so I will be rock peck free!
I don't mind judged events. One thing I saw was several cars that were brought in on a flatbed. I don't think it is fair when those are judged alongside those that drove 400-600 miles to get to the show.

When I had a guy back into my car, Abra said that progressive would only pay to blend the hood. They then told me that if I paid to fix the dent on the other side, they would have to repaint the whole hood, and they would do that on progressives dollar. Got it fixed and had the whole hood repainted. It needed it! Damn rock chips.
You know you're stripes will be done if they do a whole bonnet respray? I suggest you get safety yellow installed at the next dragon so it doesn't blend in and you won't get hit again.
I think trailered cars should be illegal in shows. Some that I've been to turn you away if you brought it on a trailer.

I am taking it to Joe Stewart to be repaired. I am hoping they will respray the whole thing...I would think the metallic in the PH would be harder to match but I may be wrong. State Farm is handling the claim and I am not sure what their policy is. It is scraped pretty good next to the headlight and all chipped up along the bottom near the bumper. The bumper has the worst of the chipping and I know they will have to replace it for sure.
I guess I should go ahead and book my stripe appointment for the Dragon next year. You don't know how long the paint is supposed to cure before I can have them reapplied do you?
