Rota 16x8 +48 offset

so I joined 09-23-2002 and finally I am picking up a mini! So here is my question; I am looking at Rota slipstreams and would like to get them in the 16x8 size, would this look odd/fit? the offset is +48.

Thanks in advance,
Danny

You can check with your vendor but I think you will be OK. Ask for hub bore of 56.1 mm so that it will fit the MINI hub without a centering ring.
Otherwise the hub bore on the wheel will be 67.1mm

What suspension do you have- or plan to run? Stock or lowered?

If you use 205/50-16 which is a little smaller than stock tire diameter you will have enough clearance.

16x6.5 is stock wheel size. 16x8 add with stock offset of +48mm adds 19 mm (0.7") to the outside and 19 mm to the inside so clearance is tighter but possible. For clearance to suspension/brake parts, it's about 5mm closer.

Careful if you have JCW brakes and don't get an over wide size or too tall size of tire.

I think I am going to end up with a 16x7 slipstream just to avoid any issues, I intend to run coilovers though not 100% sure which brand and have it fairly low. It's on stocks brakes as of right now.
