If you were going to order a Chili Red MCS with the JCW aero kit with some white stripes, would you go with a white roof or a black roof?

I'm really torn between the 2. On my '06 cabrio I've got CR with white stripes and it looks great IMO with the black roof, so I figured I'd go the same route with a tintop. Then I saw the JCW Challenge car...

If MINIusa worked like it was supposed to I could just build the car almost exactly how I wanted and see the difference. Unfortunately since JCW parts don't show up on the configurator...

 

I would go with black and do white viper stripes all the way down the car. Or, go with a white roof and do white viper stripes on the body and red stripes on the roof....

 

Hard choice as both CR/W & CR/B are dazzling!

So I say to you, since you've already gone the route of CR with white stripes, give the CR/B a shake. Besides, by my observation, there seem to be fewer CR/B out in the field so that would make your MINI less commonplace.

I say go CR/B! Either way your MINI will look grand!

I like the way the black roof works, esp. with the black bonnet stripes.
(bonus points for working better w/ sunroof if your getting one)

Yeah I like how it would hide the sunroof better. I reckon I'll go CR/B since that was my first instinct. That stupid Challenge car had to throw a wrench in my plans, heh.

 

If you're getting a moon roof I'd go with the black, the moon roof blends in with the black roof and looks much better. If you're not getting a moon roof flip a coin.

 

I have a CR/W 05,and CR/B 07 with the JCW Aero Kit.I like the cars in both colors,when asked why two red cars i respond,I can use the same touch up paint.Q

 

What brand and type of tires flokes are running these days. I have an 07 MINI S. I drive a lot of the twisties and a track day once in a while.
