MINIs Motoring Against Cancer part IV

MINIs Motoring Against Cancer In Tennessee
Mini Car Show & Shine
At The Minnie Challenge

Nashville SuperSpeedway

Saturday, October 13 2007

MINI owners in North Carolina wanted to honor a MINI friend and fellow MINI club member who fell victim to cancer. They created a banner to rally around, held a drive and collected funds to donate to the cause of fighting cancer. The idea grew to include passing the banner, like passing a torch, to other MINI clubs across the country. Since the banner took it’s first trip to Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina, it has traveled to South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama, raising funds to fight cancer and being embellished with the signatures of those whose hands it passed through.

It’s time for Tennesseans to volunteer to move the banner on further. To raise funds to battle cancer we are planning a gathering in the center of Tennessee, in Nashville, for a car show in conjunction with The Minnie Challenge. The Minnie Challenge is an event held by The Phil Wicks Driving Academy at Nashville SuperSpeedway and includes a day of fun filled and educational track activities. The proceeds of this day go to support the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. You can find out more about The Minnie Challenge by visiting www.minidriving.com and www.minniepearl.org.

The car show will be held in the infield area during the track activities. Registration will begin at 10AM and the MINIs and Minis will line up for judging at 1PM. This will be a fun and laid back car show with awards for Best Graphics, Best Shine, Most Detailed, and Best Overall MINI and Mini. The Show and Shine entrance fee is $20.00 for pre-registered participants and $25.00 for day of the show. All money raised by the event will go directly to the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. Bring your MINI or Mini out for a fall Saturday of Mini fellowship, sign the MINIs Motoring Against Cancer banner, and participate. If you have any questions or would like a registration form, contact me here on North American Motoring by PM or email.
