Goodwood Hornet crash

It was a great weekend at the "Goodwood Revival" but the immaculate Norman Grimshaw Wolseley Hornet was sadly rolled and very badly damaged in Fridays pre '66 saloon car practice by the 1960's Mini racer Alec Poole. He was ok but shaken:-

After
(Some good photos of the rest of the day including the pre '66 saloons with Minis, Mustangs, Cortinas, etc, also on this website)

I see tyre marks on the car in this shot. Did he have some help in losing it?

I'm very glad that Alec Poole could walk away from that. He was lucky. Man that car really hit hard. Check out the grass growing out of the amputated wheel.

If you look at the first picture you can see how hard he is pushing the car. The rear tires are sliding & he has a bit of opposite lock in the front tires.

Over there across the pond, they really do race their vintage cars. No parading around like is often seen here.

Glad Mr. Poole walked away from that one.

[after Alec Poole wrecks Norman Grimshaw's car]
Grinshaw's Brother: My brother's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill you and he's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill us!
Alec Poole: Hey man, just be glad I had fast reflexes!
Grinshaw's Brother: My brother's gonna *****!
Alec Poole: Make up your mind, dude, is he gonna ***** or is he gonna kill us?
Grinshaw's Brother: First he's gonna *****, then he's gonna kill us!
Alec Poole: Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
