So I was on a teleconference today with a co-worker and I mentioned that we had just gotten our MINI. Wouldn't you know it, she had bought a MINI last year and absolutely loved it! It was so funny, we were practically fighting to say how much we enjoyed our cars. I think we talked for five minutes before we realized our other participants had arrived and we needed to get started with the meeting!

Anybody else have a similar experience?

 

We were at a gas station in a rental car somewhere in northern cal when this beautiful dark silver R53 pulls up. I started chatting with him, telling him about my car. He started telling me about all his mods (something like $10k + into the car... suspension and other engine parts), and he courteously let me hear the roar of his aftermarket exhaust as he pulled out. Interesting conversation, and a great looking car he had.

 

I still remember the absolute joy I felt for my daughter when she got her MINI--a LY/MCCa. I was as excited as she was. Since then her Hubby got a Checkmate edition, too.

I got mine this past February--I'd waited since the late 60's to get mine!
