205/50-15 tires with 8" wide wheels installed

205/50-15 wheels installed-tire2.jpg

205/50-15 wheels installed-tire3.jpgI just got my wheels and tires mounted on my Mini. Really like the look. To me it relates back to the old school Mini. Let me know what you think.

I like, great pictures. What brand are the wheels and if you don't mind where did your order them? Looks like a set of kumho tires. What is the actual 205/15? Nice to have all the details.

Your MINI keeps good company.

Hmmm, smaller wheels on the new MINI, but larger wheels on the old Triumph...

Not so into it, personally, but it does give you the old-school teeny tire look.

Thanks I think it looks good. Good info. No need for spacers right?

no spacers required and no tire rub. the ride feels much smoother and more responsive after replacing the run flats.

How wide are they? If you were to lower the car would they rub.

the wheels are 8" wide with a +15 offset or 4 3/8" back space.

Can you lower the car and the wheels not rub with that offset?

My front wheels are the exact same specs and my car is lowered a lot on coilovers. You have to run camber and do a lot of trimming....but not too much rubbing here.

I really dig the fat 15s. Good choice to go with the classic look.

What's up with the Triumph in the background? Does it have something sticking out of the hood? Is it a 6 or 4 - or something unholy?

Bassles are you from the DC area? If so are you going to that Mini meet at Union Jack's on Sunday in Bethesda? I just moved to the germantown area and saw that there is a meet this Sunday. I would like to see your car in person so i can get a idea if i want to go that same route.

I don't think they sell the 15x7's in the same offset. His are offset of 15 and the 7's only appear to come with an offset of 38

your right like in Bassles ealier post there a +15 vs my +38 .. the 15x7 have 1.5" lip while the 15x8 have a 3" lip and the extra offset to cover the difference
