Aftermarket exhaust for cabrio

What's the best aftermarket exhaust for a 2006 mcs cabrio? I know there are many makes/models...however, fitment seems to be the issue for either single or dual for the cabrio. I've already done the 15% and cai.

Thanks for any input!

There are only a few companies that make an exhaust specifically for the cabrio, and they usually charge about $100 extra for the cabrio version. Here's a thread with some other options, and a discussion on clearance issues in general with aftermarket exhausts and cabrios.

You may also want to consider whether you'll be interested in adding the M7 under strut system because it's especially useful for cabrios (plenty of discussion on that if you search for uss) - if you might be interested, you'll want to check that you choose a compatible exhaust system (some have been found to not be compatible with USS)

I have installed quite a few exhausts on Cabriolets,

The Miltek and the Larini, fit and sound the best.

I have a Zoomers/Powertone exhaust on my '06 MCSC, and I also have the M7 USS. The fit is awesome. But I admit, the Zoomers isn't for everyone. I wanted a very loud, deep, throaty exhaust...as if LilTiger was Roooaaaaring....and that's what Zoomer's delivers.

I have the Blueflame exhaust on mine. It needed to be modified to fit. I personally like the note and look more than any others out there, so I didn't mind a bit of extra work to get it to fit.

Thanks for all the quick replies. Seems there a few that bolt in without any mods to the brace - Milteck and Magnaflow. Is it true that with the freer flowing you lose some torque down in the lower rpms but gain in hp higher up?

I have the Milltek and like the sound. Not too loud. But I would second what eager2own mentioned. As a cabrio owner, the USS should be included in your mod list.
