brake dust shields

Has anyone removed the front dust shields from the brakes to gain brake cooling. like for track events? What is the thinking on this and your experience doing this?

BMP has brake dust shields with a flange for connecting up to ducts. Has anyone seen anything like that for Mini's?

BMW Z-3 duct parts fit with surgery

Steve,

BMW Z-3 brake duct parts will fit the MINI with minor surgery to the sheet metal. These mounts accept 3" duct hose. Many Z-3 brake components are identical to MINI parts.

Haven't seen any duct plates that are specifically marketed for MINI in the 3" size.
