Brew City MINI Tour - Sept. 8th

It's Official: Brew City MINI Tour (aka. MINI Takes MILWAUKEE!)Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 9:45 am - 1:00 pm (less time if you don't want lunch)Location: Meet in the Pieces of Eight parking lot on Harbor Drive located between the Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery World on Milwaukee's beautiful lakefront.

What do you think of when you think of Milwaukee? Beer, Cheese, Brats, Bowling. Celebrate your MINI fun with a Taste of Milwaukee/Oddities of Milwaukee tour! This is not a scavenger hunt or twisty curvy drive, but rather a great event for anyone with kids, anyone who loves Milwaukee, and anyone who loves their MINI. And don't forget your camera - you and your MINI will have the opportunity to be in several unique photos along the way.

We will meet at 9:45am for a pre-drive meeting and then cars will leave PROMPTLY at 10:00 am. We will be scrambled in different directions as we discover things even Milwaukee natives have only dreamt of, ending at a funFinish Line together. All finisher MINIS will earn a commemorative Brew City MINI Tour decal. For those interested, lunch can be purchased on your own at the final destination.

As you will have an opportunity to sample various tastes and activities of Milwaukee on this adventure, a nominal fee of $10 per participant will be collected the morning of the run. Our suggestion is that each adult and young adult in the MINI pay the $10 fee to participate. Younger children most likely will be just fine sharing with their parents.

Please RSVP by Friday, September 7th to theresa@milwaukeeMINIS.com the number of people paying the $10 fee so that we can call ahead to our stops to arrange for sampling opportunities. No need to RSVP for the persons in the MINI that won't be paying the fee. Don't miss out on this one-time event - it will truly be the talk of the town!

The wife and I will definately be there, anyone else coming? It sounds like Theresa has outdone herself (alomost literally) on planning this and it sounds like it will be a legendary drive (Not to mention the nifty decal!). Hope to see you all out there!

Well technically Wade has outdone himself with his wild and crazy vision for this drive that he has dreamt of for a year, but somehow the task was delegated to me to finalize. Through the process I have discovered that I have a real interest in Milwaukee history!

Just be sure that everyone emails me directly with their RSVP's as I often can't keep track of who is who with screen names on NAM.

See you on Saturday!
Theresa

For those of you who missed it, I wish I could say you didn't miss much... but it was an awesome run! Kudos to Wade and Theresa for what clearly was a huge effort to put this together

I have pictures from the day up here. Theresa should be posting a link to her Snapfish account should you want to print pictures.

Excellent pictures as always Anthony!

What a fantastic day for a drive and what a great route. Theresa and Wade did a fantastic job putting the route together and making it manageable for the group of drivers. My brother and I had a blast and actually learned quite a bit about Milwaukee. We both had gone to highschool near the Seminary and had no idea that the Iron Well even existed.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I'll have my pictures up "one of these days!"

Great pics Anthony! Marcia and I also had a great time, always nice to see new people coming out. Loved Koz's, it's been on our Milwaukee To-Do list for a long time!

Our pics here.

Also a large pan of the MINIs... playing with the new camera... (it's a bit large)
