Bluetooth phone test for me please!!!!

Can anyone with TWO bluetooth phones, one a working "MINI phone" (a phone with bluetooth that syncs its address book with the mini), and a 2nd phone which connects to the mini's bluetooth and works, but does not sync the address book try the follwoing for me:

1. Connect the working phone to the mini, sync the address book. Then disconnect it (remove the phone from the mini or shut it's bluetooth off...).

2. Enter car with 2nd phone, and connect it's Bluetooth to the MINI so it can make and receive calls via the mini speakers.

3. Can you now see any of the contacts from the 1st phones address book in the MINI?? Or are they now gone? (in other words, are the contacts stored in the mini at all??)

4. Regardless of answer to #3, can you now ADD a contact to the MINI's contace address book via the menu's or voice commands?

Here's what I'm trying to figure out: I have a Blackjack phone, the bluetooth works fine with mini, but it doens't sync the address book. I also CAN'T add any contacts to the mini contact list because since there are none (cause I haven't sync'd any), it doesn't let me get to that menu option. So I'm trying to see if I sync somebody elses phone (like a razr), and then go back to my Blackjack, if I would then be able to get to my MINI address book... which right now is KILLING me not being able to.

I just can't believe MINI didn't just give us a regular CAR Address book, separate from the bluetooth phone address book!!!!

I *think* my wifes phone will sync address books with the MINI too, although not tried it. My Blackberry does. Would it be any use to you if I tried phone a) then b) then a) again and report on the results, such as if each phones address book overwrites the other ones entries? I can try this tonight when I get home.

It wouldn't answer my real question, so don't knock yourself out trying it.

But I would be interested in what that did though.

Probably won't work as you have to pair each phone with the Bluetooth receiver - each pairing keeps a separate address book.

AS a Possible tesst, there are some phones that will pair but not automatically send the Address book to the module, you have to do that manually (not sure how). I have a T mobile Dash which is virtually identical to the BlackJack and MotoQ and it transferred everything and works like a charm. They are all WM 5 or 6 so they should work unless the provider or manufacturer messed with the software.

Yep, Samsung is INFAMOUSE for screwing up the BT software. In WM5 on the Blackjack, they remeved the MS BT stack, and installed there own, which is horrible. They are releasing WM6 for the blackjack in a few weeks (Sept 17th). That should solve this problem as they will be using a much better BT stack.
