VMCC Fall Rally
VMCC Fall Rally
The Vancouver MINI Cooper Club is once again holding a fall Rally.
This year's event is set for Sept. 30, and is sure to be great MINI fun
Many are looking forward to participating in our largest Club event for the year, so please let us know if you are interested.
For the VMCC rally you need a driver, a navigator, and of course a MINI.
The Rally is a Time/Speed/Distance (TSD) rally format. TSD rallies challenge each team's ability to follow the instructions in the route book to stay on course and on time throughout the event. There are points along the route where competitors are scored for accuracy based on the time that they pass hidden checkpoints. Arriving on time at the checkpoint will result in a score of zero, whereas if you arrive either late or early you will be assessed points based on how many seconds away from the ideal time you are. The winning team is the one with the least number of cumulative points at the finish line. The route book contains specific instructions on which way to go as well as what speeds to travel.
The West Coast Rally Association will organize and officiate the event as well as give all competitors their instructions for the day.
Details for the Rally will be on the site by Tues. Sep 4, http://www.vancouverminicooperclub.com
