110th Valley of the Moon Vintage Parade

110Th Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival Parade in Sonoma on Sunday, September 30, 2007. REME has been invited back again this year to participate in the parade. This is a fun day on the Sonoma Square. We will be given a staging area where we can "decorate" our Minis and then the parade route will take us around the town square. After the parade we will park on the square and can enjoy the rest of the festival lounging on the grass

We will meet up at the Baskin Robins Ice Cream parking lot 201 W. Napa ST. Sonoma, CA (same as last year) at 9AM. We will depart for the registration at 9:15AM. We should arrive at registration at 9:30AM (Veterans Parking Lot).
We will come up 1st Street West and pull directly into the parking lot.

There we will register, get our numbers, and be assigned to a "staging area". Be sure to have your CA drivers license and proof of insurance.

We will depart to our staging area where we can park our Minis and do our decorations. We can walk about the square and see all the activities (ie.: Bear Flag Revolt ). We will need to back to our MINIs by 11:30AM for a parade start at 12N.

We should all have radios channels set 7-21 and cell phones. Bring snacks, coolers, camp chairs, umbrella, table, so we can all enjoy the afternoon on the square after the parade.

Channel 7 News will be there so expect that we may get some TV news exposure.

It was a great day yesterday. Sunny & Clear, good food, good live music, great freinds. There were food booths, arts & crafts, games, and wine tasting, while everyone wandered about on the grass listening to live bands playing through the afternoon.

Our Minis were the "hit" of the parade. We had a ball decorating them before the parade. After the parade we were given parking spots on the square, where we set up our chairs and tables and watched as people came by to see our Minis and ask questions.

Here is a link to some photos posted on REME albums:

And here is a special video prepared by Rob Saunders (Califzeph). It's about 3 minutes and covers our Parade. Sit back and enjoy. Thanks Rob, Great job, again!!!!!
