i went to my dealer to ask how much an AERO KIT for my MINI costs...
well it was $1,200 for the kit turned over to me...
with the installation, the price sky-rocketed to over $2,700!?!?!?!
well obviously i would like to keep my costs down especially having to pay for college and all...

does anyone know if and how easy it is to replace the standard bumper w/ the full aero kit, side skirts, etc....

i dont want to buy it and then regret i did and have to pay 1500 for the dealer to install, besides my MINI is one problem away from being declared (gulp) a lemon

 

no personal experience but I remember seeing a post and gallery from someone who did do an aero installation themselves either here on on minicooperonline.com.It seemed to be a real ****buster of a job - especially the painting as the kit comes in primer only from the dealer.

probably cheaper to get the kit on-line and have a local ( & trusted) bodyshop do it

A few people have bought the kit and had a local paint/body shop do the job to keep the cost down. You’ll have to call around to find the prices in your local area.

 

my is gonna cost me $2600 installed!!!!!! :evil:
