Informational Warning at power-on... how to stop it?

Hi, I finally brought home my MINI on Saturday and am loving it. I like the NAV system even more than I thought I would in many ways, but that isn't the point of my question.

I'm a geekette, and figured most things out pretty quickly, but I can't seem to stop that informational window (the one with a huge triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it) about using nav only when safe to NOT come up every time I start my car. Ideas? I've tried settings.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I guess the newer cars have this only as mine does not do it. No huge warning triangle for me!

Pushing down on the joystick dismisses it.

To get it to never come up would probably require killing all the lawyers.

I like that idea. Let's start a petition!

Perhaps take comfort in the fact that it does go away after a few seconds and, once it does, you can use all the nav's features. In my previous cars, you HAD to push an "Okay" for the warning to disappear and you could not access most input functions unless you were stopped.

Yeah, I figured out pushing down on the joystick.

I was just hoping to find an option to stop it from showing each and every time I turn on the car.

Getting rid of the lawyers sounds like it might help... but only for new versions of the software I guess.

I haven't found a way for it not to come up, any NAV system has the same disclaimer. We have a Nuvi 360 in my wife's R53 and it gives a similiar disclaimer that you have to agree to before you can make it past that initial screen.

In order for it to go away, we would have to get rid of all the lawyers and all of the lawsuit happy people here in the US. It may also be necessary to get rid of all of the idiots too because they'll use the system and cause accidents because they aren't paying attention. At least now, they can't blame them on Mini because they get warned every time they start the car up.
