R56 New to be owner question...
New to be owner question...
I am about to either pull the trigger on a previously configured new Coupe S... that is mostly configured the way I want, or order NEW exactly the way I want.
My only question is:
I prefer the black lounge leather seats over the black leather punch because of looks entirely.
I am used to BMW M3 seats that extend along the back of the leg. I had a little hard time getting comfy in the punch leather...
Q: Is the lounge leather a little more comfy, have better leg support but still have great lateral support? Or are they essentially the same seat?

First post.. welcome aboard. M3 to MCS.. whoa.. that's a big change.
For somewhat the same reasoning, I chose the Lounge seats over the Punch seats. Not only do I like the way they look, but I like the way they fit. The stock seats are fine, but the Lounge seats - IMHO - are just a bit better. Whether they're $1900 better is subjective.
It's only money...

Yea... some would say I am down grading to an MCS. I've owned a couple of M3s... and they are just sweet cars. My current one is essentially my dream car. But alas, we have a child now and I had to buy my wife an SUV for all the child crap. My car generally doesnt get driven on the weekend and when I am in it... is essentially driven for fun.
Lately, I have not been able to reap the benefits of the M3 on the street... and it is worth some money now. I've driven both a 2006 and 2007 MCS and was very impressed with the car... albeit not so happy with going to a FWD. The local stealer here gave me a 2007 MCS for a couple hours for me to really wring out... and that sold me. It still had a little more for me... but was just as fun in the twisties and around town.
I am pretty excited about it... but my friends think im nuts. Who needs friends like that, right?

The lounge leather seats are a lot more comfortable than the others. This is the first car I've had where I can actually drive long distances and still be comfortable in the seats, even the 06 MCS I had made my legs hurt, but not these lounge leather seats. They are nice!!
Lounge leather is awesome, but you might keep trying to find one to sit in. I had to return to the dealer many times before they had one. Best time is probably when a new shipment arrives. I sat in every possible seat. Due to an injury, seat comfort was my priority.
