Official LDG 'tuned' Club
Here is the official club for all those MINIs that have had the 'hand of LDG' tune your MINI.

and for those of you that asked, this thread is now officially 'sanctioned and approved' by LDG.
So yes it is officially official.
Chime in and say hello, and tell us about your MINI!
I will also say over the past few months I have become friends with the guys at LDG. They are a great crew, and very knowledgeable. I did end up getting my JCW tuned by John, and the results are great. I'm lovin my torque curve. I also had them lower my MINI, so she drives and handles great.

Howdy,
Mo' MINI is an '03 JB/JB MCS with a 17% pulley, ALTA CAI and Sportone exhaust. John did the Dyno-Tune back in March and the final numbers (with a bad belt tensioner) were 197.4 whp and 164 lbft torque. Woohoo!! I am very happy with the result and the service I received at LDG.

I was recently tuned by LDG, my numbers are no so impressive as some I've seen. 184.41whp and 166.83tq. This could be due in fact to the conditions in which the car was dyno(hot and humid). John is a very nice guy and he even came down to Florida for our tuning-day party.
I have a JCW CAI, MINSPPED 15% PULLEY, MINSPEED EXHAUST

Dyno-tuned by LDG!
So does that make me LDG #4?
Very happy with the tune and my experience at LDG. Been waiting to get one dynochart and then I'll post my exact numbers and experience. I believe my torque was in the neighborhood of 169 and my WHP around 192+.

I'm sure I could make a couple threats and get it made official....
While my car has been tuned by LDG it actually is slightly more than that. It's more along the lines of "Built by LDG". I'm going back for a little more aggressive tuning when the heat wave finally breaks here (today it's 95+ and ~60% humidity) and hopefully squeeze a little more torque out.

And if you did mean THREATS, than, yeah, cool, let's do that....

Hey...are you the one with the dark grey Mini who's getting a complete mod overhaul by John @ LDG?
Nope, I have a BRG/B car that's already done (10,000 miles ago). The DS car is still getting worked on. I stopped by this morning and talked the to guys at the garage and saw some of the progress being made.
I'm LDG #1
I hereby lay claim to "Friends of LDG" membership #1.
When John was just starting his MINI business (the pre-LDG days, then known then as the Glenelg Servicenter, with about half the space he has now), I took a 15% ALTA pulley to him and asked "Can you install this?".
It was the first one he had seen and he said he'd try. I was going to be out of the country for a couple of weeks, touring the MINI plant in Oxford and riding westbound on the QM2, so I commissioned him to give it a try and take his time doing it.
I came home and found the new pulley installed and I asked for the old one to use as a paper weight. In his normally verbose voice he told me that getting the old one off was a bit of a problem. No wheel puller he had could get a grip, so he had welded a couple of bolts to the old pulley to get a handle to grab (and I suspect to heat it up and make the metal expand). This experience with my "mule" convinced him to get a proper pulley puller and belt tension reliever.
Later on, my car has always been one of the first for him to use as a Beta tester for each new tuning strategy he has dreamed up (I have to also note that CmdrVimes is another favorite test subject for him). Before John first tweaked my ECU, I had one of Franz's early MTH tunes. John found it interesting to see just what areas of the code he had changed; the answer was very little.
As you can tell, I regard John as a good personal friend & I trust his judgement; he never has let me down.

My MCSa was tuned last friday - Aug 3rd. The MCS is like young again or something. Response time is quicker and torque has noticeably better.
I find myself volunteering to go to the grocery store now :( to just drive it!
Best bang for my buck i've ever spent!
Thank you LDG!
