Drivers ed for teens

My friends are trying to make this happen here in Alabama, since we are in the top ten in the nation for teen driving fatalites,

My friends,
I have been in contact with a group known as Street Survival, a group that is formed to keep kids safe on the streets. This is not a course to teach kids how to race; it is designed to help keep them alive.
As you all know about my youngest sons recent mishap and problems, I started a search for some sort of school that would help provide skills to keep him between the white lines. This may be it.
The plan is for the end of October, I will need some qualified driving instructors for this. People that know how to control a car and how to pass this info along to young kids 16 – 18 years old. This will be a volunteer basis and will take a Saturday.
I am starting a search now for a place to have this event. The next thing is promotion in our local schools, churches and YMCA’s.
I need your help.
Check their web site for details and let me know if you would be willing to assist me in making this happen in Alabama. The gentleman I talked with has been looking for a way to break into the Alabama area and he is all behind me in helping pull this together.

thanks for your consideration

FWI, I took this course in Dallas last year in my MINI, and it was fun, and some what informative. The only downside was I got a speeding ticket driving home from it ...go figure.

FYI, your local BMW CCA chapter, (of which you can join because BMW owns MINI) has a teen-survival driving school... which you might want to check out...

The BMWCCA website is where I learned about Street Survival, but there were NONE held in Alabama, that's why we are trying to get things rolling to have one here,

I believe that Heart of Dixie chapter is talking about doing one of these schools, I'll ask Sat when I do a drive with them.
