R52 removal of roll bar for install
I haven't done this myself, but remember someone else explaining it.
You will need to remove the headrests first. Behind each headrest is a screw covered by a piece of plastic. After the headrest if off, you will need to remove the plastic pieces that go across the back below the roll bar covers. The roll bar covers are tucked under this piece.
Since I haven't done this myself, I can't tell you about how these pieces are attached, but maybe once you start working on it you will be able to tell. It can't be very difficult as quite a few folks have done this.

Mishka is correct. We replaced the OE black plastic covers with chrome versions. You'll need to remove the headrests. Then you'll have to seperate the plastic panels the enclose the base of the roll bar covers. You'll feel like you're about the break something, but it should come apart without too much difficulty. Then seperate and remove the covers. It is all fairly self-explanitory...
