Few entries this month, but then again the topic was hard to pull off, and these shots did pull it off. Looks like even Kurt was able to let the sun dip under the horizon for once

A very tough choice but # One is clearly #1.

 

Had a similar thought to #5. Never got a chance to try to pull it off, though. The day (night?) of my best opportunity, I was laid out in bed with a bad back. C'est la vie!

 

I would have taken a picture under stars and entered if we didn't have record rainfalls for July here......

They are all great photos, but # 5 is my favorite: the heavens change, but MINI is forever. . .!

I like them all, but #6 really speaks to me...love the color, the composition, and the coolly spooky interior lighting!

 

It was a toss-up between 1 & 5 for me, but I picked 1 because whoever took it didn't stick with a literal interpretation of the Topic

 

Wow, tough call between 5 & 6! Well done everyone.
With a 4 month old at home, I'm treasuring any sleep I can get and had to skip this month.

What happened to Kurt???

 

I like 5 and 6 but choose 5 b/c you can clearly tell it's a MINI in the pic, whereas in #6 we only know b/c we know (hard to see the outline of the car).

 

Kurt has a life.
The monsoon season has been awesome, so no star skies (dumb excuse).
My first idea was soundly trounced, so no inspiration.
The camera cable went on vacation without me. One of my daughters thought it was her iPod cable when she gabbed it just before leaving, and blew the opportunity to hand it over at a layover, hasn't mailed it back, I'm in a bad mood.
Guess which excuse?
BTW: Voted for #1; why didn't I think of that.

 

Any ideas for next month's topic? Dave and I haven't come up with a list of possible topics yet.

I should probably mention that the only things that are on my mind right now are food.. and sleep. mmm..

 

All I have to say is bravo to #1 ... Bravo!!

Sidekicks (for those with pets/puppets and the like)?

This would be a fun one to interpret and should lead to a good variety of images.

(of course Kurt's sidekick is that big flaming ball in the sky. )

 

Sidekicks... kicking tires. Or a flame throwing contest.
How about "dirtiest car" (rain every day prevents getting **** about the cleanliness).
