Pics of tinted headlights and taillights

Has anybody tinted their headlights or tails? If so post some pics. I'm thinking about going that route because I don't have the ***** to Joey-mod my xenons, but I'm honestly not sure what color to choose or how much to tint them.

I havent' tinted my headlights, but have CF rings. I did tint the rears, and have shaved the rear and blacked out everything except the door handles.

These tails were disassembled, painted somehow, then reassembled. I bought them as is.

Wow those look really nice though. I guess my biggest concern is whether or not they'll still be visible once on and whether the police might think it looks so nice they stop me so they can ask more about them.

Mine have been on the car for coming up on 3 years. My wife still complains that they aren't bright enough, but I've never been pulled over for them, or even had them mentioned when I was pulled over for speeding.

Well that gives me hope at least, but I worry about people not being able to see them well enough at night.

just don't tint as dark as the ones above. (though all tinting makes them dimmer than stock...aka slightly more dangerous)

this company offers a dark and light tint.....if you went with the light tint, I'm sure you wouldn't have many problems with visibility

Yep, completed the tint job on my lenses a few months ago before the Dragon. Both the main and aux lamps. Very little degradation and so far no issues from the police since you can still see the reflectors. Upped the bulbs though to PIAA super. Luminex films, based in Georgia I believe. Installed myself.

Very clean and very nice. What are you going to do with the holes left from the mini emblem?

Yeah I'm definitely ordering from Lagston, its just a matter of figuring out what I want.

Since you guys have said that you don't have much degradation from the tint, I've decided to go with some black satin wrapped headlight rings with some dark gray tint for the headlights. I may do the tails later but I'm worried about getting rear-ended enough as it is without making my brakelights harder to see

At present they are little plastic plugs, naturally black. I used them on the holes in the front bumper for the (unnecessary in NM) license plate put there by my dealer Anyway, the front ones are painted to match the body color, and I will do the same for the rear ones. I might end up putting the emblem back if I can paint/vinyl it all black...

cheers,

Lyle/Lagston is selling MINI boot and bonnet badges that he's wrapped in black vinyl. They look sharp!
