New to the Group...

Just want to say hi and that I just picked up an '03 Cooper S with about 36k on the clock. Must say this car is awsome. But I do have a couple of questiions. The brake pad light came on and I was wondering how hard it is to change the pads? Is there a DIY on here somewhere? I have been trying to search but it keeps giving me a server error. Thanks

Hiya and Welcome to MINI land!! Congrats on your purchase Hopefully yours came with the owners manual. Whatever sensor light you are getting, it's not for the brake pads. Maybe it's the tire sensor? Anyway - check the manual - that will help ya...

Yep there is a warning light for brake pads. As the pads wear the sensor comes in contact with the rotor & triggers the light.

Here's a great DIY for you.....

I found it with the search function. Although sometimes even when I search the answers elude me.

Welcome to NAM.

EDIT..... If you don't have a manual for your car you can download one here.... http://www.motoringfile.com/
