new Cooper owner

just bought a 2002 Cooper 5-speed and look forward to communicating with others in the group... car needs a few things: tires, mirror adjuster on the floor doesn't work and I need a new master key fob - all suggestions welcome!
btw, this is my second Mini - first one was a 1964 Countryman Estate wagon!

Yay!!! Congratulations!

This place is full of good ideas, and some of these guys and girls have great advice for your upgrading needs. Welcome to the forum. This is probably the most active of the mini forums that I've come across too btw.

"...1964 Countryman Estate wagon!"

Damn!

Here's a tip - when searching this forum use Google.

Just add site:northamericanmotoring.com to the other words that you wish to search for...

It works the nuts. For example.

Nice folks here. All crazy as bedbugs of course, but c'est la guerre n'est-ce pas?

Cheers,

Charlie

Oooooo, 1964 Clubman. Would LOVE to see a picture!! Just got tires for my Clubbie from www.tirerack.com. It was a great experience. Also got rims from them, too.

Congrats, and have fun!

thanks and happy Sunday y'all... one of these days I'll scan a shot of the '64 and post it, but a wee bit too early in the morning for that now!
does anyone else have problems with the mirror adjuster?

Well, in my experience, I saved something like $300 on a set of 205/50/16 S.Drives by ordering from TireRack and paying to have them installed compared to local pricing at a big chain. The sales rep (Alex) is also very well informed and helped me choose the right tire for my application. I think most people on the board swear by TireRack. Discount Tire Direct is okay too.
