Hey, just curious.. has anyone wondered why the inside door panels and the rear panels are not the same color as the dash?
(I think this was only if you got the sunrise orange matching everything option, not sure)

I have to admit, the question did cross my mind....

 

Same issue on the cool blue cabrios with the blue interior trim and blue leather - my door and rear inside panels are dark blue. My dash pad is black. My theory is that it's one of a couple things...

1) there are a couple of different colors of door panels - but all dash pads are black (saves MINI money?)
2) All steering wheel trim, knee bolsters, glovebox doors, a pillar trim, header strips, sun visors, etc are charcoal or black. The Black dash matches these better than a blue dash would... (saves MINI money?)

Yep, drives me crazy.

 

I didn't notice it when I bought Penny, and once I took her home I realized... . I don't like it, but it's the only thing I'd change about her. That's gotta mean something.
