So you know the fake grill on the back of the Jcw bumper? Well when I bought my MINI it had a goldish paint job on it. However after making a date with a pole and promptly having the back bumper replaced, it is now silver. I was just wondering what the original color of the grill is supposed to be.

 

The Aero Kit rear bumper?? There is no "JCW" bumper for the R53.

The Aero Kit bumper had brushed aluminum looking inserts. I've seen several cars where they've yellowed; the exhaust exposure probably does 'em in.

 

I figured it could have been the exhaust so thanks for the help. I'll make sure to get my terminology right the next time too
