Riverton, WY - Saturday July 21st, 2007, spectators at the 15th Annual Riverton Wyoming Car and Bike Show were privileged to a stunning upset when a 2006 MINI Cooper Cabrio (named Matilda) gathered more votes for best of class from the car show participates. The MINI took home 1st place in the Sports Car division as well as Best Engine in the same class. Second place was awarded to a 2007 Ford Shelby Mustang. This year's show saw temperatures over 100 degrees and over 150 cars and trucks entered into the 15 divisions.
So yeah, I won! Here's a few pictures with more up on my Flickr: Riverton Car Show
Since I was the first to arrive I not only got to pick my parking spot, but got to see the hot air balloons go off as well.
I'll have to forward this thread to the DH's StangsUnleashed GT500 forum.
I didn't see the Shelby in any of your pics? What color combo was it?
I didn't take any pics of the Mustang (rather shallow and self-centered of me ). It was black with silver scoop and stripes. Very nice car. He was also trying to sell it for $45K. It only had 103 miles on it.
Congrats!! Man, I am thrilled. I don't exactly know why! Maybe I'm not used to that many intelligent people gathered in one spot. You realize this will negatively impact my WY jokes. Congrats, again.

Most people don't even no what state Wyoming is in. Oh and BTW in Wyoming they tell Montana jokes and in Montana they tell North Dakota jokes. Here in Colorado we tell Texas jokes (not really too hard though).

My brother lives in Cheyenne, and refers to all of those people south of the state line as "Green Platers."
Sweeeeet...looks like all your detailing work in the last week paid off! Congrats!
After detailing the weekend before I had to drive it to Riverton which is about 450 miles with 1,000,000 bugs/mile. So I got there about noon on Friday and spent the rest of the day cleaning it back to show quality. I will say that with Epic on the paint and glass the bugs were much easier to remove. Also I have a Colgan bra for road trips that works very well keeping bugs from chipping paint and fouling the radiator fins (I hate picking bug parts from radiators). For the show, Slick and Clarity are a must for removing smudges imparted by MINI enthusiasts and unruly kids.
Thanks all!
Ha! Babes in Riverton ... good one!
I married the only babe in Riverton 25 years ago back in high school and I brought her with me to Colorado. Unfortunately she chose not to attend this year's show, so no - no babe kissing (but I do have legs like Lance - two of them ).
The old saying in Wyoming is that there is a good looking girl behind every tree ... sorry, no trees in Wyoming.

And in Texas we dunt(tm) tell Colorado jokes cause we was taught it tweren't nice to make fun of the less fortunate.
