My final wheel painting choice.

You all know that I was going to do the solid Indi Blue S-lites, with Loren painting a set of silver ones I have. Well, I saw these on motoring underground the other day, and not to copy, but because I can't fully commit to paying that much money for something I have never seen, I am getting them painted in this set-up. I will do the silver on the outside ring, with the spoke painted Indi Blue. And that's my final answer. Loren has them, and I will probably get it done end of August.

Stopped by Loren's shop today and told him what I wanted. He was pretty cool, and was excited to get to do the wheels. He matched up the colors, and said it would be done before long. Much quicker since he don't have the ArtCar and Lukester's rides!

Great idea, it will look good.

I have Loren painting a rear deck spoiler for my 328 today. I hope to stop by and have him install tomorrow. I will look for your wheels.

I actually just thought about doing that to my mini yesterday. I won't 'cause I want lighter rims, but I say go for it! Great minds think alike

Yeah, I won't be doing any racing anytime soon, and I like blending something stock and classic with something new.....I was going to go all Indi Blue, but could not go for it.

O.K. Loren might have changed my mind, and he thinks it would look better in all Indi Blue since I don't have any other silver like that. What do you guys think from this pic, and be honest....All blue, or silver outer rim with the Indi Blue spokes?

it looks better all blue than with silver since you dont have any silver going on anywhere else

Yeah, I should have elaborated. The ? was to bump the thread after I changed the picture, and I did not realize you had posted something in the meantime. Crazy timing, and for that, I'm sorry. Did not mean to throw you off... I agree, it is unique, and that's what I was going for. I was NOT going for tacky, which I hope it's not. (Please Lord, don't let it look tacky.)

gotcha tacky's kinda like beauty. it's in the eye of the beholder. if someone thinks it's ugly so what, it's your car. you'll feel good either way since it was your spin on it

That's funny, but I have seen a lot of people put a "spin" on their car, and it looked like dog crap, I don't care what they thought! LOL. I knew it was a gamble. It either looked really good, and people liked it, or it would look bad, and people would laugh at it, not in a good way, and that's not what I am going for. I wanted it to be original, but not THAT original. Know what I mean?

right right... well, if it doesnt work you can rattle can it black or white. might be a bummer because it'll feel like a waste of money if you dont like it.
